Jam Night

A while back, Jen invited us over to a her uncle's georgous house on a Monday night; she was house sitting. Ben S. brought a guitar and a drum, and Jen brought another drum...that's all it took...pretty soon we were all jamming, dancing, and singing worship songs. Nick made some suprisingly fabulous chocolate chip cookies (No offense Nick, but you don't come off as being super domestic).

The ladies (Diana, Jen, & myself) had a clothing exchange. We all made off with some cool things, and more importantly cleaned out our closet clutter.

While the girls were otherwise occupied, there was a major rukus upstairs...The guys apparently had too many cookies, and were wrestling..Trying to grab & twist if you know what I mean. Ben C. is a black belt (recently earned, congrats Ben!), Ben S. is an ex wrestler (I think), Nick is just fiesty as all get out, and Hanson just egged them on. Luckily nothing got broke-Although they probably scared the neighbors.

I included some of the photos below. Precious times...

Derek Hanson picking out a tune.

Ben & Nick banging to Hanson's song.

Jen is pretty good on the drums; she took a drum class one term.

Ben trying to figure out how to use a drum.

Ben & Nick jamming out.

I think I'll stick with swing dance.

Diana's boogie dance.

I had to put these photos in here. Jen was demonstrating some African rain dance.

What a constructive use of a Friday Night!

Can you guess who's bathroom this is?

Is this a bad case of Trading Spaces?

So this is my blog...

So I think this whole blog thing is pretty rad. However, I don't have a ton of time to do justice to it right now, so I guess this lame excuse for a blog will have to do in the mean time. After I graduate this June, I'm hoping to have a lot more time to do things like spiffing up this blog (and seeing my friends again, and exercising, and doing laundry & all the things that have been neglected during this brief but painful last term at PSU).

Tonight I am going to go out with some freinds to see a few bands and Mike Miller at Pacific U. Hopefully that will be a good time, and hopefully the weather will stay nice!

I have some more photos to put up this weekend that are fairly entertaining: just some evidence of the mischief girls can get into on a Friday night.....

Me.

This is the Mother Ship! The Original Starbucks in downtown Seattle, right next to Pike Place. Carrie & I visited it in January on my birthday trip.

Hanson & I at Shawna & Alex's wedding on 04-09-05.

Me at the top of the Space Needle.
